Overview

The Eaton CHNSURGE is a Type 2 plug-on surge protection module for compatible Eaton Type CH legacy load centers. It installs in two adjacent panel spaces and uses the CH pigtail-neutral configuration to protect a 120/240 V single split-phase system.

  • Protection: 18 kA surge-current capacity per phase with line-to-neutral and line-to-line protection modes.
  • Electrical ratings: 3 kA nominal discharge current, 600 V voltage protection rating, 150 V L-N and 300 V L-L maximum continuous operating voltage, and 10 kA short-circuit rating.
  • Compatibility: Designed for Type CH legacy load centers; no separate breaker is required, but two panel spaces are required.
  • Installation: Plug-on module with a pigtail neutral; 120/240 V single split-phase, 50/60 Hz.
  • Compliance: Listed to UL 1449 and CSA certified to C22.2 No. 269.2.
