The ABB THOMESURGEP SurgePro is an externally mounted Type 1 residential surge protective device for 120/240 V split-phase systems. It delivers 36 kA of surge-current capacity per phase, uses thermally protected MOVs, and mounts beside the service equipment without consuming breaker spaces.

  • Electrical ratings: 180 V maximum continuous operating voltage; voltage protection ratings of 700 V line-to-neutral and 1200 V line-to-line; 50/60 Hz operation.
  • Installation: External parallel connection with an integrated 1/2-inch NPT side-mount nipple and 18-inch #12 AWG prewired pigtails.
  • Durability: Sealed polycarbonate NEMA 4X enclosure supports indoor or outdoor use and an operating range of -35°C to 85°C.
